Advancing precision medicine through AI that understands human speech and the brain that powers it.

As a postdoctoral research scientist and medical speech-language pathologist with expertise in speech neuroscience and linguistics, my work focuses on uncovering the neural computations underlying speech motor control and understanding how these mechanisms are disrupted in neurological disorders.

Currently, I am investigating the effects of deep brain stimulation on speech in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. By integrating acoustic, behavioral, and neuroimaging data with machine learning, I aim to: 1) identify clinical biomarkers for personalized treatment, 2) develop translatable AI-driven neurotechnology for speech recovery, and 3) optimize neuromodulation interventions.

Beyond research, I enjoy exploring new cities, learning languages (natural and computational), and watching college football.
